Position Reports to: Executive Chef, General Manager
Works in conjunction with Sous Chef
As the Chef de Cuisine of Walnut Creek Country Club, it is of the utmost importance that the role embodies a sense of professionalism, hospitality, and spirit of collaboration with our staff and members. In the role of Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee development of staff, menus, and execution of a la carte services. This role will work side by side with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to design recipes and menus that are cost effective, catered to the membership's palette, and display dishes curtailed to meet dietary and allergen requirements.
Hospitality is at the forefront in this role, of which candidates should have a clear understanding of. Catering to members, while "going the extra mile" will be key in providing an experience beyond membership and employee expectations. Strong communication skills are also required, as success in this role will be dependent on healthy, effective communication with both the front and the back of the house staff in order to create the desired experience for our members. Candidates must have proper training in food handling and safety.
Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience.
